But inside that braiding is a rubber tube that carries the water. After 5 to 8 years, this rubber degrades from water pressure, heat exposure from hot water lines, and chemical interaction with Dubai's treated water.   When the inner tube fails, the braiding cannot contain the water pressure alone.
